Sending Your Love

In order to keep everyone healthy in the next few weeks, there is a strong suggestion to keep everyone indoors and away from other people. This leaves a lot of people questioning what is going to happen. How is everyone going to get the food they need? What about the elderly who definitely should not leave their homes? How can I personally help people affected by this? These are all great questions and I’m here to offer a few solutions.

Send a care package
During this time in our lives we all are a little bit more aware that we need to start thinking about other people besides ourselves. Healthy, middle class, young adults are going to be okay. And I think we all know that by now. But what about our parents halfway across town? What about the poor family down the street who can’t afford to go to the grocery because their dad lost his job? The best solution I have to offer is sending care packages to those people. Maybe you could even collect a few supplies around your house, put them all together in shipping boxes, and mail them or drive the packages to their front doorstep. Even better, you could order products offline to be shipped directly to the address in clean shipping boxes.

Volunteer at a shelter or soup kitchen
Many people who did not necessarily consider themselves poor before the pandemic are now going to face some financial hardships. These people will need to turn to programs to help keep them safe, healthy, and well taken care of. Please consider donating your time or your money to programs trying to help the less fortunate in this situation.

Keep your distance from people
This is the most important one. The best way to make sure you are helping is to make sure you are following the suggestion of staying in your own home in hopes of not infecting someone else. We know now that people can be carrying the virus without showing any signs or symptoms. It is best to not assume that you do not have the virus.

You possibly could and by going out and doing your normal things, you are putting more people in danger. It is best to keep social interaction to a minimum. Only essential tasks should include multiple people in a room. Wash your hands, stay healthy, and help out your neighbor in any way you can.

Best Ways To Label Storage Boxes

Labelling is one of the best ways of staying organized. People often encounter problems when they have too many things and too little space, which is when they decided to put it in storage for the day that they need them. When that day comes, many people are often puzzled because they did not label their boxes properly and store them in the correct ways. We said it before, and we will say it again. Labeling something is one of the best ways of staying organized, and by that, we mean labeling your boxes correctly.

The prospect of labeling might be something that seems a little tiresome for some, while those who are usually well organized may see this as a fun task to do. Whatever your views on labeling are, there are always tips and hacks that one can follow to ensure that they get the best out of their storage system. If that is what you are looking for, you have come to the right place because we are here to give you a couple of ideas on how to organize and label your items in the most efficient way.

Before you start labeling your boxes, you would need a few things that you can get from any stationery or office supply store. The things that you will need are:

  1. Color Markers
  2. Labels (Colored ones if necessary)
  3. Masking Tape
  4. Glue
  5. Scissors
Most people who are into labeling their items for organization purposes tend to stand by the basic four ways of labeling which are:

  • Label by Color
  • Label by Number
  • Label by Contents
  • Label by Durability

Label By Color

Color coding your items is one of the most efficient ways to get your labeling done right. If you think that color coding your stuff would work as an effective way to store items, then you should go in for this option. Color coding is also good if there are multiple people living in your house with different things to store. Assign a color to a person and label the shipping boxes accordingly.

Label By Number

This process is for those who like to stay super organized, down to every last detail. If writing contents of the box may seem like too much, you can label them by number. Assign a number to each box and have a paper which has the number and the contents corresponding to it. An excel sheet would work well for this.

Label By Contents

Labelling by contents is by far one of the most sought after ways of labeling. It makes finding things extremely easy, provided you know their general location. Labelling things such as ‘Kitchen items’ and ‘Bedroom linen’ is one way to know what is inside.

Label By Durability

You would surely have some items in storage that are easily breakable and require you to handle it with care. Labelling items according to their durability ensure that you know where your fragile things are kept, making them easier to find.

All of these methods are brilliant when it comes to organizing your things. Each one of the methods that we have mentioned comes with its own set of pros and cons, which is why it is best to choose an option that suits your needs the best and go along with that to make your storage a lot more efficient.
